Diversion of traffic between VIPE Interchange and Agiovlassitika Interchange of the Patras-Pyrgos section for the construction of the New Motorway

• Facilitate the construction of the New Motorway in the section involving the widening of the existing national road.
• Construction of a new semi-interchange and an Underpass in the area of Alissos

In order to facilitate the construction of the New Patras-Pyrgos Motorway, traffic arrangements will be applied on the section of Patras-Pyrgos National Road between the Industrial Area of Patras (VIPE) Interchange and the At-grade Intersection of Agiovlassitika/Railway Station in the area of Kato Achaia.

The traffic arrangements will enter into force on Sunday January 26, 2025 and are expected to last for approximately three months.

During this period, the Patras-Pyrgos National Road will be closed for 6.5 km (from k.p. 7 to k.p. 13+500), so the traffic will be directed as follows:

• in the direction to Pyrgos, it will be diverted from the VIPE Interchange to the Old National Road and will re-enter the Patras-Pyrgos NNR through the Agiovlassitika intersection;
• in the direction to Athens, it will be diverted to the ONR via the Agiovlassitika intersection and will re-enter the Patras-Pyrgos NNR through the VIPE Interchange.

In case of emergency (passage of ambulances or fire engines), provision has been made for their passage through the closed section, accompanied by vehicles of the construction company AVAX SA.

In the closed area, the company in charge will construct the new semi-interchange in the area of Alissos, together with the new Underpass, which were not included in the original design, as well as the VIPE Interchange, underpasses and overpasses, a large number of retaining walls, while paving works will be carried out.
