Safe & Secure Truck Parking Area (SSTPA)

Our priority is to provide you with better conditions and ever greater comfort during your breaks.

The latest initiative of Olympia Odos is the arrangement of safe parking areas for heavy vehicles so that professional drivers can rest without having to worry about their safety or their load anymore.

Olympia Odos participates in the European program “Development of nine Safe and Secure Truck Parking Areas in Greece” together with the Innovation and Networks Executive Agency (INEA) within the framework of the funding instrument Connecting Europe Facility (CEF) for Transport.

The parking area for heavy vehicles has 45 parking lots and is located next to the Akrata Motorists Service Station (in the direction to Patras), which is 70 km from the port of Patras and 156 km from Athens.

Facilities & Services

Security is available 24/7 from a control center and 34 video monitoring cameras, as well as guarding systems up to Silver level;
Modern premises equipped with toilets and showers for men and women, a designated rest area, TV, and vending machines;
Free Wi-Fi access.

The total investment for the project amounts to €2.5 million. The new truck parking area has been designed to meet the highest environmental and energy standards. It features an energy-efficient, Class A building, heating and cooling system, as well as a solar-powered hot water system to meet the needs of the sanitary facilities.
