University of Patras: OLYMPIA ODOS Scholarships

• Two annual scholarships for the Departments of Civil Engineering and Geology.
• Linking the educational process with the construction of major infrastructure projects

Olympia Odos in cooperation with the University of Patras, has established two annual scholarships of 3,000 euros for a period of five years to students of the Departments of Civil Engineering and Geology.

In order to link the educational process with the design and construction of major infrastructure projects, Olympia Odos invests in young people, thus rewarding high performance and encouraging them to keep up the hard work of learning and development.

The scholarship agreement was signed last February, opening a new cycle of cooperation between Olympia Odos and the University of Patras.

The Olympia Odos Scholarships Award Ceremony took place for the first time this year on Tuesday, January 30, at the University of Patras. The scholarships were awarded to two honors female students, namely:

• Mrs. Evangelia Konstantina Toulitsis, who completed her undergraduate studies in July 2023 and was the first student of the Department to be admitted to the Master's Degree Program "Design of Resilient, Sustainable and Smart Infrastructures",

• and Mrs. Andrianna Galati, an undergraduate student of the Department of Geology, who achieved the best performance for the academic year 2022-2023.

Mr. Panayiotis Papanikolas, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Olympia Odos, made the following statement: "I am proud of the relationship we have developed with the University of Patras since the 1990s for the construction of the Rio-Antirion Bridge and then the Corinth-Patras motorway. The Bridge continues to be an iconic project for Greece and Olympia Odos is a modern motorway distinguished for the use of technology in serving drivers. I am also excited because we are helping young scientists to complete their studies and join the infrastructure projects construction. We wish them to continue their good work and that their path will be full of dreams and success. Olympia Odos will continue to strengthen and develop its relations with all levels of the Educational Community".
