Olympia Odos and the Road Safety Institute (RSI) “Panos Mylonas” invite the drivers who will travel this Friday, June 13, 2025 to the Peloponnese and Western Greece to participate in the annual “Road Safety Pit Stop” that will take place at the Megara Motorists Service Station (MSS) (in the direction to Patras) from 15:00 p.m. to 20:00 p.m. The Olympia Odos and RSI Pit Stop is organized at the beginning of the summer with great success for the fifth consecutive year. Thanks to it, drivers will have the opportunity to carry out a brief, free safety check on their vehicle with the expert support of the Institute's volunteers.
This action aims to increase drivers' responsibility and foster a culture of prevention and safety on the road, while reminding them that proper checks before every trip are vital, especially during the summer period when we travel more. This action highlights how simple, everyday actions can make a difference.
The Pit Stop will be brief and include basic checks of tire condition and wear, as well as of lights, turn signals, windshield wipers, and fuel levels. It will also provide information on refueling points and free moving objects in the passenger space. After each check, drivers will receive a "Friendly Control Card" with the results and relevant observations.
At the same time, there will be a crash simulator where participants will have a unique experience and understand, firsthand, the importance of seat belts for all passengers. There will also be an information station about the proper use of child seats, staffed by specialists.
Participants will have the opportunity to enter a competition with great prizes and enjoy a complimentary coffee.
Through its stable and long-standing cooperation with the "Panos Mylonas" Road Safety Institute and its Road Safety Program “In real life there is no Undo”, Olympia Odos continues to invest in informing and raising awareness among drivers. Olympia Odos recently published the results of the 15th Responsible Driving Barometer of the VINCI Autoroutes Foundation, of which it is a member. The survey revealed important findings about the driving habits of Europeans and Greeks.
