VINCI Concessions, AVAX Concessions, AKTOR Concessions and GEK TERNA take full ownership of Olympia Odos

• Conjoint acquisition of the 17% stake formerly held by Hochtief
• Continuation of the successful partnership to enhance mobility in Greece

VINCI Concessions, AVAX Concessions, AKTOR Concessions, and GEK TERNA, have exercised their rights to jointly acquire the 17 % stake formerly held by Hochtief in the concession company (Olympia Odos) and the operating company (Olympia Odos Operation) of the Athens-Pyrgos highway. The conclusion of this acquisition allows the partners to become co-owners of 100 % of Olympia Odos and Olympia Odos operations, with the following share repartition:

• VINCI Concessions: 36,03 % (formerly 29,9 %)
• AVAX Concessions: 23,01 % (formerly 19,1 %)
• AKTOR Concessions: 20,48 % (formerly 17 %)
• GEK TERNA: 20,48 % (formerly 17 %)

This conjoint acquisition allows to keep strengthening the successful partnership between the four companies. Working in synergy since 2008, the partners delivered together in 2017 the renovated and extended Olympia Odos highway at best infrastructure standards. Since opening to service, Olympia Odos has made travel times more reliable between the Port of Patras and the Greek capital and has strongly improved road safety, reducing accidents by 96% on the Corinth-Patras section. Olympia Odos is today one of the busiest and most strategic highway corridors in the country, with 56,3M transactions in 2023 (+8,6 % compared to 2022).

VINCI Concessions, AVAX Concessions, AKTOR Concessions and GEK TERNA will continue to work in synergy to enhance mobility with three priorities: integrating the new section to Pyrgos in 2025, accelerating the environmental transition and improving safety and quality of service.
