Olympia Odos and the Road Safety Institute (RSI) “Panos Mylonas” invite the drivers who will travel this Friday, June 5, 2026 to the Peloponnese and Western Greece to participate in the annual “Road Safety Pit Stop” that will take place at the Megara Motorists Service Station (MSS) (in the direction to Patras) from 15:00 p.m. to 19:00 p.m.

For the sixth consecutive year, Olympia Odos and the RSI "Panos Mylonas" are joining forces to improve road safety and foster a culture of prevention on Greek roads. The initiative is based on a simple yet effective philosophy: taking a moment to prepare before every trip can have a significant positive impact.

As part of the initiative, Institute staff and volunteers will conduct free, brief preventive inspections and checks of participants' vehicles. The check will include basic safety points, such as the tire condition and wear, as well as of lights, turn signals, windshield wipers, and fuel levels. It will also provide information on refueling points and free moving objects in the passenger space.

After the check, drivers will receive a "Friendly Control Card" with the results and relevant observations.

Additionally, the venue will feature a crash simulator, which will allow participants to experience firsthand the importance of seat belts for all passengers. Additionally, there will be a dedicated information station on the proper use of child safety seats, staffed by trained personnel.

Participants will have the opportunity to enter a competition with great prizes and enjoy a complimentary coffee.

The commitment to enhancing road safety is unwavering. Through the message “In real life there is no Undo” and close collaboration with the RSI, Olympia Odos is committed to promoting information and awareness campaigns on responsible driving.

As a member of the VINCI Autoroutes Foundation, Olympia Odos recently presented the findings of the 16th Barometer on Responsible Driving, which provides a comprehensive snapshot of driving behavior in Greece and Europe.
