Following the recent destruction of the bridge at Loutraki Interchange and the closure of the Athens-Korinthos Old National Road to traffic and further to the relevant Decision of the Ministry for Infrastructure & Transports, in order to ensure the best possible reinstatement of the traffic connection between the Municipalities of Loutraki - Perachora - Aghii Theodori and Korinthos, temporary traffic arrangements are to be implemented from Saturday, June 22, 2024 at about 13:00 p.m. In the greater area of Isthmos to provide access to and from the motorway through the provisional exit and entrance to the Motorway west of Isthmos Toll Station (at about k.p. 72.7).
In particular, the traffic in the direction from Loutraki and Korinthos to Kalamaki and Isthmia (east of the Canal) will use the provisional exit located right before Isthmos Toll Station to the southern service road, which is the Athens-Korinthos Old National Road, as indicated by the red arrow on the following diagram.
Similarly, the traffic from Kalamaki and Isthmia (west of the Canal) to Loutraki and Korinthos will use the northern service road of the motorway and will enter the Motorway through the provisional entrance located right after the Toll Station in the direction to Korinthos, as indicated by the blue arrow on the following diagram.
These traffic arrangements are provisional and will last for about three (3) months from their effective date, when the need for their operation will be reassessed.
From the beginning of operation of these traffic arrangements, the residents of the area will not be bound to pass through Isthmos Toll Station nor to make additional circumventions for their local trips, therefore the free passage of residents (Municipalities of Loutraki-Perachora-Aghii Theodori and Korinthos) from Isthmos Toll Station, which has been applied since June 12th until today, will cease to apply.
Olympia Odos would like to thank the drivers for their understanding and invites them to comply with the relevant signage and the instructions of the Traffic Police, as well as to be particularly careful when crossing the said area.
