Easter vacation means traveling to our favorite country towns and places of origin. However, this entails heavy traffic along the Olympia Odos Motorway over the next days. In particular, the traffic is expected to peak:

In the way out of the city:

•          On Holy Thursday, from 14:00 p.m. to 21:00 p.m., approximately, and

•          On Holy Friday, from 7:00 a.m. to 17:00 p.m.

In the way into the city:

•          On Easter Monday, from 13:00 p.m. to 22:00 p.m., and

•          On Easter Tuesday, from 14:00 p.m. to 20:00 p.m.

Olympia Odos has put its personnel and motorway equipment on high alert at its five operational bases from Athens to Patras, as it remains committed to ensuring safe and comfortable travel for all.

At the same time, it reminds the drivers of some important safe driving rules:

1. Check your vehicle (fuel, oil, coolant, lights, brakes, turn signals and air pressure in the tires);
2. Get plenty of rest before starting your trip; When traveling long routes, stop for 15 minutes every 2 hours;
3. Get informed about the traffic and weather conditions by the Traffic Prediction Service and the widget of Olympia Odos at www.olympiaodos.gr and the Olympia Odos App
4. Top-up your OLYMPIA PASS transponder and enjoy the distance-based tolling;
5. Enjoy different meals along the way. At the Olympia Odos Motorists Service Stations (MSS) you will find fuel, restaurants and cafés.
6. Take a tour with Olympia Odos Virtual Tour and discover the sights along the route!
7. In the event of a vehicle breakdown or other emergency, protect yourself in a safe place and contact the Traffic Management Centers via the SOS Emergency Roadside Telephones or by calling 1025 from the Olympia Odos app or your mobile phone. Our people are on the road 24/7 and will be with you in a few minutes.
8. Drive carefully in areas with construction sites or traffic arrangements.
