Olympia Odos participates in the 2025 VINCI Safety Week

This is the 7th consecutive year that Olympia Odos has participated in the VINCI Health & Safety Week, which is coded “STOP – THINK – ACT”.  Once again, all projects of VINCI, the company’s major shareholder, joined forces to achieve a common goal: Zero Workplace Accidents. 

At Olympia Odos we are committed to maintaining a healthy and safe work environment, with zero tolerance for dangerous practices.  This year’s Safety Week, held on May 19-23, triggered the launch pf new actions and practices to ensure everyone’s safety.

Olympia Odos launched two new programs aiming at ensuring the safety of heavy maintenance works.

• The Visible Field Safety Leadership program encourages all our staff to visit the worksites, observe, discuss and promote safety for themselves and their colleagues; 
• The Last-Minute Assessment program encourages our crews to assess the professional risks on site before starting any work, identify any changes to the already-foreseen risks and take any additional measures.

During the Safety Week, visits were exchanged between officials of Olympia Odos and the Rion-Antirion Bridge, who visited the three construction sites of Patras-Pyrgos and participated in a fire drill conducted on the Bridge for extinguishing a burning car with a car fire blanket.

Moreover, in the framework of the recent Memorandum of Cooperation entered into between Olympia Odos and Democritus University of Thrace, professors from the Department of Chemistry presented new materials and fire safety technologies to officials and engineers of the Company.

To demonstrate Olympia Odos's commitment to the safety of its staff, company officials and employees joined together to emphasize the importance of safety at the workplace.
