Short Night Closures between the Interchanges K1-Patras and Eglykada of the Patras Bypass

As part of the works to upgrade the automation and communications system of the Patras Bypass Tunnels, short night closures will be implemented in both traffic directions on the section between K1-Patras I/C (k.p. 204.4) and Eglykada I/C (k.p. 212.6) from 21:30 p.m. To 06:00 a.m. at the latest, on the next day, on Monday 11/11, Tuesday 12/11, Wednesday 13/11, Thursday 18/11, Tuesday 19/11 and Wednesday 20/11.

During this period, the traffic will be diverted, in the direction to the city of Patras as follows:

  • In the direction to Pyrgos will be diverted from Patras-K1 to the city of Patras using the route along the Athens-Patras NNR and then Kanelopoulou St., Iroon Politechniou St,  Akti Dimeon and Eleftheriou Venizelou St.  Then, the traffic will re-enter Patras Bypass in the direction to Pyrgos at Eglykada I/C.
  • In the direction to Athens, the traffic will be diverted from Eglykada I/C to the city of Patras using the following route: Eleftheriou Venizelou St., Akti Dimeon, Trion Navarchon St., Ag. Andreou St, Norman St., Iroon Politechniou St. and Kanelopoulou St. Then, the traffic will re-enter the Athens-Patras NNR in the direction to Athens.

In the event of adverse weather phenomena or technical problem, the said closure will be implemented on the next night of Thursday, 14/11 and 21/11, according to the relative Police decision.

Olympia Odos would like to thank the drivers for their understanding and invites them to comply with the relevant worksite signage and the instructions of the Traffic Police, as well as to be particularly careful when crossing the said area.
