Night prohibition of traffic to vehicles transporting dangerous goods on Patras Bypass (in the direction to Athens)

There will be a ban on vehicles transporting dangerous goods on the section from Eglykada to Patras (K1) of Patras Bypass, in the direction to Athens, for four days. The ban will be in effect from Thursday, March 12, 2026 to and including Tuesday, March 31, 2026, from 19.00 p.m. to 03.00 a.m. at the latest, every day.

During these traffic arrangements, the local network in Patras will be available to serve these vehicles (see the relevant diagram below). At all other times, traffic will flow as usual, and traffic heading towards Pyrgos will not be affected.

These traffic arrangements are implemented to facilitate restoration works in the "Agia Varvara" tunnel, following the damage caused by the wild fire in August 2025. Specifically, fire-resistant power cables supplying the fans—which are part of the tunnel's ventilation system—are being replaced.
