As part of the works to install LED luminaires in T15 Tunnels (Platanos) and their re-coating, it is necessary to close the tunnel branches (directions) alternatively, starting on Wednesday, October 30, 2024. The necessary traffic arrangements will be gradually implemented in phases, as follows:
Phase A: closure of the branch to Patras
Closure of the branch to Patras and diversion of the traffic to the tunnel service road located north of them, in accordance with the following diagram. The traffic in the direction to Athens is not affected.
Phase B: closure of the branch to Athens
Closure of the branch to Athens and diversion of the traffic to the branch to Patras through the Emergency Openings located at k.p. 155.00 to k.p. 152.30, in accordance with the following diagram. The diversion of the traffic to Patras is still in place, as per Phase A.
Phase B: closure of the branches to Patras and to Athens
Closure of both traffic branches in the direction to Patras and Athens and diversion of both of them outside the Mavra Litharia Tunnels, in accordance with the following diagram.
The required long-term signage will be implemented from Wednesday, October 30, 2024 through Saturday, December 14, 2024, at the latest. It is estimated that 3 weeks will be required to implement each of Phases A and B, while Phase C will take approximately 1-2 days. It should also be noted that as each Phase of works is completed, the next Phase will begin immediately.
