Diversion of traffic between Ovria Interchange and VIPE Interchange of the Patras-Pyrgos section to complete the construction of the New Motorway

• Completion of the construction of the remaining section from Midilogli to Alissos
• Continuous coordination with the competent authorities to minimize disruption ​

As part of the works to complete the remaining section of the new Patras-Pyrgos motorway between Mintilogli and the Alissos, Olympia Odos informs drivers that a temporary diversion of traffic in both directions will be implemented between the Ovrias Interchange (I/C) and VIPE I/C, towards the Patras-Pyrgos Old National Road from Monday, September 15, 2025, at 14:00 p.m. until Sunday, November 30, 2025.

Specifically, at Ovria I/C, vehicles will exit onto Andrea Papandreou Street towards the Patras-Pyrgos Old National Road and VIPE I/C, will pass through the temporary branch over the railway lines and arrive at the temporary mini roundabout, where will enter the new motorway. Please see the traffic arrangement in the diagram bellow.

This diversion is a necessary step for the competent contractor (APION KLEOS CJV/AVAX) to safely and promptly complete the project, which will significantly improve road safety, reduce travel time, and permanently upgrade transportation and quality of life in the area. 

All necessary signage will remain in place during the traffic arrangements implementation period, and there will be ongoing coordination with the competent authorities to minimize the impact on traffic. In case of emergency (passage of ambulances or fire engines), provision has been made for their passage through the closed section, accompanied by vehicles of the construction company AVAX SA.
