Firefighting Large-Scale Exercise in the tunnels of Mavra Litharia on Wednesday 15/05/2024 night to Thursday 16/05/2024

A Firefighting Large-Scale Exercise will be conducted in the north branch (direction to Patras) of the tunnel “Mavra Litharia” (Τ11 Ν) located between Derveni interchange (K.P. 140,4) and Akrata interchange (K.P. 146,5) during the night of Wednesday, March 15 to Thursday, March 16, 2024.

To ensure the safety of the participants in the Exercise and of the passing drivers, from 18:00 on Wednesday 15.05.2024 to 06:00 a.m. at the latest on Thursday 16.05.2024m both traffic directions between K.P. 141,3 and K.P. 143,3 will be diverted out of the tunnels and will be served by the bypass road, on the north side of the tunnels (see diagram and photo)

The scheduled Large-Scale Exercise will be conducted in cooperation with the Fire Brigade and the participation of all stakeholders, the Ministry for Infrastructure & Transport, the Hellenic Police and the EKAV Ambulances.
