This innovative distance-based approach calculates vehicle kilometers using advanced sensors, cameras, and intercoms at motorway interchanges. The system automatically refunds any difference to OLYMPIA PASS subscribers. Those opting for cash or card payments adhere to the existing zone-based system. The comprehensive investment, covering systems, software, installations (excluding maintenance managed by Olympia Odos Operation), totals €9.5 million.

The awarded “Water from the air” program

The innovative "Water from the Air" initiative, initially tested at the Panorama-Kineta parking area in Kakia Skala, aims to enhance travel experiences by offering a sustainable supply of clean drinking water generated from air humidity using solar-powered technology. Currently available at 11 locations, the program plans to expand to all Motorway parking areas. A new telemetry system implemented enables real-time monitoring of water production, battery charging, and cooler operation at all 11 sites. This system enhances program efficiency, ensuring optimal services for users and drivers.
