Design and Installation of Photovoltaic Parks

With the objective of achieving energy autonomy for the motorway by the end of 2025, we are implementing a program of photovoltaic parks with a total capacity of 10 MWp, expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 5,000 tons of CO2 equivalent annually.

This initiative represents the most extensive photovoltaic park program of its kind in Greece, comprising nineteen parks installed on canopies and parking areas of motorway maintenance centers, toll station canopies, and unused areas near buildings and tunnels, all within the boundaries of the Concession Project. The total investment for 2024 amounted to €2,325,962.66.

Adaptive Lighting program

Olympia Odos has developed an Adaptive Lighting system that leverages advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning technologies to enhance energy efficiency along the motorway. The system continuously analyzes data from multiple sources, adjusting lighting intensity in real time based on traffic and environmental conditions. At each interchange, it forecasts traffic for the next hour and optimizes lighting across different sections accordingly. In the event of an incident, lighting automatically increases to maximum, and the Traffic Management Center is instantly notified. Integrated with cameras and weather stations, the system continuously monitors road conditions and sends necessary alerts.
